Create & Glaze a Dish, Plate, Platter

If you’ve always wanted to try your hand at creating a functional piece of art from a lump of clay this hand-building workshop is for you. You’ll learn the basics of pottery including slab rolling, coil making, using texturizing tools & stampers, attaching decorative elements and lots more!   Repeat students are welcome to make variations of projects.

$70, plus firing fee based on the size of your finished piece

Thursday evenings (This workshop is 2 evenings): 

February 13 – Creating   7:00 – 9:00 p.m.

March 26 – Glazing  7:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Create & Paint Hand-Built Bowls

Ramekins, dipping sauce pots, salt cellars, nesting bowls, succulent dishes, the possibilities are endless! You’ll learn the basics of hand-building pottery including slab rolling, pinch pots & coiling, to create a few unique bowls that you will also paint with underglazes the same evening. A relaxing workshop for you and your friends.

$50, plus firing fee based on the size of your finished pieces

Thursday evening (This workshop is 1 evening)

March 19   7:00 – 9:00 p.m.     

Create & Glaze a Set of Mugs, Wine Cups or Tumblers

We’ll use templates, stampers, and texturizing tools to create two hand-built drinking vessels. You will learn pottery basics such as slab rolling, as well as more advanced concepts such as mitering and joining edges, attaching a foot ring and pulling handles. Return on the second night to glaze your pieces.

$70, plus firing fee based on the size of your finished pieces

April 2 – Creating  7:00 – 9:00 p.m.     

April 16 – Glazing  7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
